"Keep your head, heels and standards high"

Welcome

3 days in to January and I'm getting started on one of my many new years resolutions. This one has been on my list for a few years but I never had the time, resources or commitment... these were my excuses anyway. Crap ones, I know.

So today, I went out and got myself a beautiful, shiny new Macbook Pro. Mainly because it's just dreamy to look at but also because it costs 3 times the amount of my old laptop and figure if that doesn't push me to start my blog what will?

Just to introduce myself, my name is Lauren Caroline Bell and I'm 22. I'm currently working as a lettings administrator in Newcastle Upon tyne. Its a good job but it's not what I've always wanted. I studied Fashion Business and Enterprise at Newcastle College about 2 years ago and decided to forgo university as, to be honest, I had no clue what I wanted to do. All I knew is that I was interested in the fashion industry and eventually wanted my own fashion based business, ideally, a lingerie Line *in my dream world where pigs fly and Beyoncè is my best friend*.  It's also in my long list of new year aims to get a start on this, I have no idea where I'll start but I'll keep you updated no matter how big or little the effort.

At the minute I live with my parents in a little place called Washington about 20 minutes out of the centre of Newcastle. Me & Jack, my boyfriend and best friend of 3 and a half years are hoping to buy a place together soon. Last month I set myself an ISA up to get to grips with serious saving for this. It's going to be difficult but I know it will be more than worth it when we find a place, decorate it together and start to make our new memories there. Needless to say, I can't wait. There'll also be kittens, lots of kittens.

So there it is, my first post and to be honest I could have rambled for way longer but I'll ease you in. Welcome to my blog, I hope you enjoy it.

As I'm sure you're all working towards different new years goals and resolutions too, please be patient with me.
